In 2018, Henk Conn ran for Mayor of Long Beach, California.
No other candidates challenged the mayor and side deals were allegedly conducted to have another candidate not run against the incumbent. Even though similar attempts were made, Henk Conn ran a campaign. His platform was to end homelessness, make public transit free of fees and to advocate for rent control.
